Observer-Dispatch: Make healthy lifestyle changes a little at a time
UTICA - When it comes to making healthy lifestyle changes, there's always a tempting new fad that celebrities are touting or friends and family are trying.
But those fads, whether they work for a few months or not at all, always come back to one fundamental piece, said Megan Dischiavo, professor at SUNY Poly and MVCC.
"It always, always, always comes back to moderation," she said. "It's not a fad, it's a lifestyle. Incorporating it into your lifestyle and the people you live with, too. ...; Good food is not quite as enticing as delicious, fatty fried food."
