National NanoDays 2016

SUNY Poly and National 'NanoDays' 2016

SUNY Polytechnic Institute will partnered with the Center for Disability Services to present a unique series of events and activities as part of the national celebration of “NanoDays 2016,” which took place from March 26 to April 3.

At each location, children and adults had the opportunity to receive an up-close look at the exciting world of nanotechnology. Program participants experienced hands-on activities and engaging demonstrations.

Saturday, March 28

Super Hero Science at the SUNY Poly Children’s Museum of Science and Technology (SUNY Poly CMOST)
250 Jordan Road (in Rensselaer Technology Park), Troy

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Attendees dressed up as their favorite super hero and learned about flight currents, the amazing powers of water and and the surprising array of super hero gadgets.

Wednesday, March 30

Nano in Nature Girl Scouts Program
250 Jordan Road (in Rensselaer Technology Park), Troy
6 – 8 p.m.

Girl Scouts explored how scientists use nature as a model to fuel new and exciting innovations. Scouts were introduced to nanotechnology and had the opportunity to participate in various science experiments.
